The Takoma Park Street Festival, postponed due to Hurricane Ian, will be held on Sunday, Oct. 23, according to an announcement from Main Street Takoma.
The festival will be held rain or shine from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Carroll Avenue in Takoma Park to Carroll Street, N.W. in Takoma, D.C. Visitors can still expect vendors, music, food and more, with an updated list of vendors and music acts to be posted soon on the festival site.
Festival organizers are also looking for volunteers for the new date; those interested in helping can sig up on the website here.
In addition, the Takoma Park Police Department has listed road closings and parking restrictions:
- Carroll from Philadelphia to Eastern
- Westmoreland at Walnut/Elm
- Tulip at Spruce
- Columbia at Pine
- Carroll at Fire Station
- Park at Spruce
- Carroll at Eastern
- Laurel at Eastern
No parking will be allowed on Tulip, both sides between Maple and Carroll, or on Maple Avenue on the western side opposite the church from Eastern to Philadelphia avenues.
All affected roads will be closed at 7 a.m. and will reopen at 7 p.m.
