Suspects Sought in Strong-Arm Robbery

Takoma Park Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects involved in a strong-arm robbery that occurred Sunday morning, according to an emailed community advisory.

Officers responded to the 8600 block of Flower Ave. at approximately 12:20 pm Sunday following a report of a strong-arm robbery, police spokesperson Cathy Plevy said. At approximately 10:15 a.m., the victim was walking southbound in the 8600 block of Flower Ave. when he was approached by a green Nissan Pathfinder with North Carolina tags. A male and a female suspect exited the vehicle; the male indicated that he was holding a knife. Having stolen property from the victim, the suspects fled in their vehicle, driving southbound on Flower Avenue and turning left on Domer Ave. eastbound.

The victim was not seriously injured.
 
The suspects are described as a white Hispanic male, 5’5, heavy-set, mid-40s age with black hair; and a white Hispanic female, 5’8, slim build, mid-20s age with blonde hair.
