Police Investigating Vandalism at Takoma Park Library

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s) involved in vandalism at the Takoma Park Library which is currently under renovation.

In an emailed community advisory, police spokesperson Cathy Plevy said officers responded to the Takoma Park Library in the 100 block of Philadelphia Ave. for a report of vandalism on Feb. 2 at approximately 10:00 am. According to the construction supervisor overseeing the library renovation, unknown suspect(s) kicked out the bottom glass of the double doors, damaging the door frame and removing a door knob. There is no indication that anything was stolen.

A temporary location of the Takoma Park Library is open at 7505 New Hampshire Ave.
