Police Investigating Armed Robbery in Takoma Park

Takoma Park Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred early Thursday morning, according to an emailed community advisory.

Officers responded at approximately 3 a.m. Thursday to the 6900 block of New Hampshire Ave. for a report of an armed robbery, police spokesperson Cathy Plevy said. While waiting at the bus stop, the victim was approached by two unknown suspects brandishing a handgun and demanding property. The victim complied and the suspects left the area on foot.

The victim was not seriously physically injured during the armed robbery, Plevy said.

The suspects are described as (1) a Black male, approximately 6’0, skinny, last seen wearing all black with a black ski mask, and (2) a Black male, approximately 5’8, skinny, last seen wearing a green shirt and black pants.
