Sticky Fingers to Replace Soupergirl in Takoma

Soupergirl is closing its retail location in Takoma today after eleven years in the neighborhood, according to an announcement from Laura Barclay of Main Street Takoma.

Owner Sara Polon plans to relocate the business to a larger kitchen facility in the area to focus on grocery store sales and deliveries, Barclay said.

“The next tenant (announcement coming soon) is going to carry Soupergirl soup, and Soupergirl fans can always order delivery at thesoupergirl.com or find soups locally at the TPSS Co-op and more,” Barclay said.

Soup will be available for $5 today (Tuesday, March 28) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

A photo posted to Instagram by Polon indicates that the next tenant will be Sticky Fingers, a D.C.-based vegan bakery & diner owned by two-time Cupcake Wars winner Doron Petersan.
