Takoma Park Police Investigate Armed Robbery

Takoma Park Police seek the public’s help in identifying the people responsible for an armed robbery that occurred early Wednesday morning.

Police spokesperson Cathy Plevy reported that on December 27 at around 12:48 a.m., Takoma Park Police were called to the 8600 block of Flower Ave. following an armed robbery. The victim was approached by a black vehicle, from which both suspects emerged and robbed the victim at gunpoint before fleeing eastbound on Flower Ave.

The victim was unharmed, Plevy said.

The suspects are described as a Hispanic male wearing a ski mask and dark clothing and armed with a handgun, and another male of unknown race also wearing a ski mask and dark clothing. Lookout information has been shared with surrounding jurisdictions.
