Takoma Park Police: Investigation Launched into ‘Peeping Tom’ Acts

Takoma Park Police are currently investigating two incidents involving a “peeping tom” that occurred on Jan. 26 around 10:00 p.m.

Residents in the vicinity of Flower Avenue reported suspicious activities, leading to police intervention:

  • In the 7400 block of Flower Avenue, a male individual was seen looking into a female resident’s bedroom window on the evening of January 26th.
  • Simultaneously, in the 7500 block of Flower Avenue, another resident found a ladder leaning against their residence.

The suspect in the first incident is described as a white Hispanic male, dressed in dark clothing, possibly wearing a black shirt. The police are actively pursuing all leads to identify and apprehend the individual responsible for these actions.

The police are aware of homemade flyers referencing possible human trafficking in connection to these incidents. However, at this stage of the investigation, there is no indication that human trafficking is involved.

Additionally, there is an ongoing investigation into a report of a suspicious male in a car who approached a female in the area of Flower Avenue and Erie Avenue on Monday, Jan. 29, around 1:50 p.m. The male was described as of Middle Eastern descent, driving a black Ford Mustang with tinted windows.
