Montgomery County and Takoma Park Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash with a pedestrian early Monday morning.
Emergency crews responded at around 1:15 a.m. Monday for a report of a pedestrian struck near the Mega Mart Latino Supermarket in the 1100 block of University Boulevard East, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service spokesman Pete Piringer.
The driver involved in the incident fled the scene, Takoma Park Police spokesperson Cathy Plevy said.

Montgomery County Police are investigating the collision and ask anyone with information to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at (240) 773-6620.
