Takoma Park seeks submissions for future performances in the city’s Takoma Park Arts series, which promotes the arts in the D.C. area.
Organized by the city’s Arts and Humanities Division, the series offers a performance venue, an honorarium, extensive promotion, and a professional recording broadcast on YouTube and local cable.
There is no application fee, and performers do not need to be residents of Takoma Park but must cover their travel expenses. Performances should be suitable for a general audience and can include music, theater, dance, and multimedia performances.
Performances typically occur on Friday evenings in the 160-seat auditorium at the Takoma Park Community Center at 7500 Maple Ave. Each performance should last between 60 and 90 minutes.
The deadline for submissions is June 30.
