Takoma Park Police have launched their first diaper drive this month to help local families in need.
With the theme “Changing Lives One Diaper at a Time,” the primary goal of the drive is to “alleviate the financial burden on our residents, thus enabling them to use their resources towards other essential needs,” according to police spokesperson Cathy Plevy. “By providing access to diapers through community support, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who require assistance in our community.”
New, unopened packs or boxes of diapers can be dropped off at the Takoma Park Police Station at 7500 Maple Ave. through June 30. Starting July 1, those seeking diapers should contact Cathy Plevy at [email protected] or (301) 891-7142.
