Cielo Rojo’s owners have announced the upcoming soft opening for its new San Pancho Mission-style burrito and torta concept at 7056 Carroll Ave. in Takoma Park.
San Pancho made its debut at last year’s “New Kitchens on the Block” food festival and was initially planned to open at the former location of Cielo Rojo last fall. The restaurant is now running an Instagram contest for diners to attend its upcoming soft opening:

Cielo Rojo opened in 2019 and relocated to a larger space at 7211 Carroll Ave. last January, securing the fifth spot on Washington Post food critic Tom Sietsema’s list of the 26 best new restaurants in the D.C. area.
