Takoma Park Police Seek Five Suspects in July 21 Strong-Arm Robbery

Takoma Park Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying five individuals involved in a strong-arm robbery in the early morning of July 21.

At around 4:29 a.m. on July 21, Takoma Park Police responded to the area of New Hampshire Avenue and Larch Avenue for a reported strong-arm robbery. According to police spokesperson Cathy Plevy, the victim was sitting at the bus stop when five unknown suspects approached the victim and assaulted him, and one of them stole money from his pocket.

After the assault, all five suspects fled on foot, heading northbound on New Hampshire Avenue; one of the suspects returned to the scene to retrieve personal items dropped during the assault. The victim was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries, Plevy said.

The suspects are described as one Hispanic female, one Hispanic male, and three Black males, one wearing all-black clothing and a ski mask.
