San Pancho Makes Eater’s “Hottest New Brunches to Try Around D.C.” List

The newly opened San Pancho in Takoma Park has been added to Eater’s “Hottest New Brunches to Try Around D.C.” list.

Eater writes that the Mission-style burrito restaurant from Cielo Rojo owners Carolina McCandless and David Perez quickly sold out during its opening weekend earlier this month, forcing the restaurant’s temporary closure until a new shipment of Sonoran flour tortillas arrived from Mexico:

After a breakfast taco craze washed over the D.C. area, the Californian co-owners of Cielo Rojo are ushering in the age of breakfast burritos. The Mission District-styled snacks sold out during the shop’s opening weekend after running out of its signature Sonoran-style tortillas. Breakfast burritos include chorizo, barbacoa, and vegan options that diners can “make super,” adding guacamole and sour cream. Round out your brunch with aquas frescas or horchata incorporated into cold brew and lattes.

San Pancho is located at 7056 Carroll Ave. in Takoma Park. The restaurant is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
