The Washington Capitals have a new fight song for the 2017-2018 season, courtesy of Takoma Park’s Mike Schleibaum, guitarist of the band Darkest Hour.
“Unleash The Fury“, taken from their song “Those Who Survived“, appears on their album Godless Prophets & The Migrant Flora, which was released on March 10 on Southern Lord Records.
Schleibaum writes:
“This is Darkest Hour’s official 2017/2018 Washington Capitals “Get Stoked” Song: Unleash the Fury! Dedicated to our hometown Washington Capitals! We are life long fans and feel it is our duty to provide the caps with a little more “awesome-ness” this year – 2018 – we got this! – Also for those who love METAL, HOCKEY, and A GOOD TIME!”
